How to Make Studying 10x Easier with AI

AI is one of the greatest inventions so far, so you might as well use it to make studying way easier. I remember cramming so much useless info before exams, but that's too outdated now. AI can make studying way easier, but only if you use it properly. But keep in mind, AI sometimes says stupid stuff, so make sure it's right, especially when it says you're wrong. So, here's how to make AI a game changer while studying:

Use ChatGPT as Your Study Buddy

ChatGPT is smart, but only when you prompt it properly. Here are some of the best ways to make it explain concepts simply. If you don't use these, it will probably explain as though you're an engineer already. Use these to prompt ChatGPT properly:

• Structured explanations: Summarize this concept in bullet points.

• Simple overviews: Explain this concept so that a 10-year-old can understand.

• Key Terms: What are the most important points for this topic with definitions.

• Comparisons: Highlight the key differences and similarities for this topic in a tabular format

• Summaries: Summarize this topic, focusing on the most important points and takeaways

• Feedback: Give me feedback on this text about [topic], taking these points into account when assessing. [key points] Here's the text.

  
  

Using these will make your life so much easier, and when I personally found these, they changed the way I studied completely. But just reading ChatGPT explanations won't really help you, unless you do something game changing. Quizzes.

Turn Your Notes into Quizzes

Using AI to quiz yourself is one of the most effective methods to study. Personally, I study best when quizzed, and using AI to do it is a great idea. Here's how you can do it too:

• Use ChatGPT to make a quiz

• Make Quizlet AI generate flashcards for you

• Use Notion's AI to get summaries, tables, or even test you

Just reading won't really help you study, unless you actually learn and understand the concepts. And quizzes are a great way to do that.

Use AI to Make Big Topics Smaller

Some topics in school may be overwhelming. Using ChatGPT, Gemini or even Copilot to make them small is a wonderful way to understand it. Just ask AI to break it down into subtopics, and you'll get a structured, clean overview of the entire chapter. Asking it to break the chapter into bullet points would be even better.

But studying is not all about learning; it's about staying focused.

Use AI For Focusing

There are SO many AI sites that are free and help a ton, not just ChatGPT. Here are some AI websites that help out a lot in focus, which a lot of people lack these days

1. Block distracting sites with Focusmate AI

2. Use Reclaim.ai to plan study sessions

3. Try to use reminder apps or some AI organizer apps to keep yourself focused

With that being said, use AI to make life easier. 10x easier.

You need to use the right tools, not work harder anymore. But remember, don't do everything with AI, just use it to help you. Because apparently using too much AI can make you dumber, at least that's what some very smart MIT people say.
